Lazydays Festival background
Lazydays will take place on the last weekend of July, starting on Friday 24 July at 14:00, and running through to Sunday 26 July, when the festival will close at 20:00.
The event features great music acts, local up-and-coming musicians, and a celebration of independent drink producers, alongside crafters/makers, food trucks, comedy, street theatre, and children’s entertainment and activities.
There will be 5 performance areas across the site: an open-air stage, an enclosed canvas big-top tent, a bandstand for emerging musical talent, a children’s entertainment tent, and a themed pub featuring comedy and other entertainment.
There will be a wide selection of bars, food and retail outlets.
The Premises License
The licensed maximum capacity of the event remains at 4,999.
The premises will be open, including for the sale & supply of alcohol and regulated entertainment, including dance, films, plays, live & recorded music, on:
Friday 24 July: 2pm to 11pm.
Saturday 25 July: 11am to 11pm
Sunday 26 July: 11am to 8pm
All music and bar service will cease at the closing times listed above each day. The area around the site will be fenced to ensure a safe, secure environment for attendees.
The site will be built from Monday, 20 July, to Friday, 24 July, and the take-down will occur on Monday, 27 July, and Tuesday, 28 July.
On these days, our team will be building (then dismantling) the festival between the hours of 8am and 11pm.
For the duration of this period, one part of the footpath through the park will be closed (from What3Words ///finds.hurls.piles), with a diversion around the festival perimeter, so additional time may need to be added to your journeys if walking through the park.
The Noise Management Plan includes a noise hotline that will be staffed throughout the festival. Details about this hotline will be circulated to residents in an additional letter shortly before the event.
During the event, a noise consultant will measure sound levels around the perimeter of the site to ensure they remain within the levels set out in our license.
Resident forum
We are holding a residents’ drop-in on:
Thursday, 2nd April, between 6pm and 7pm at Priory Park Visitor Centre.
We invite you to attend to discuss any questions you may have, or just pop in to say hello. This is a drop-in meeting to meet directly with the organisers, so you can attend at any time.
Engagement with Council and licensing authorities
We have met with representatives from the Local Authority and are keeping them advised as to our plans. We have provided officers with a copy of an Event Management Plan, which includes, amongst other policies, the Noise Management Plan. We have also attended the council-run Safety Advisory Group (SAG) and will meet with the SAG for an event debrief.
