Local Resident Information

This page was updated on Friday 11 July with additional information, including the Noise Complaints Hotline.

As a responsible event organiser, we recognise the importance of engaging with the local community. Lazydays is organised by three locals, Andy, Elliott and Mike, and is independently owned and operated - we’re proud to be bringing Lazydays to our hometown.

With that in mind, key information about Lazydays’ operations and license, as well as ticket eligibility, is contained on this page. The contents will be/has been distributed via letter between 8-18 May. A second letter will be/has been distributed between 11-14 July, which contains a reminder of the event details, as well as the noise complaints hotline.

The information below includes the opportunities you have to ask questions and give feedback on the event plans, and details on how you can contact the Event Organisers directly with any questions or concerns that you may have.

This page will be updated at later points, so you may wish to return nearer the event.

Contact us (email)

You can contact us by emailing info@lazydaysfestival.com with any questions you may have about the event. This email is monitored by the event team, who will respond directly to any questions asked. During the festival, response times to this email address may be delayed and not immediately actioned.

Contact us (Noise Complaints Hotline)

The hotline is for noise complaints only and will be operated during the hours of 8am to 11pm by a member of festival staff from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th July. Staff manning the Hotline have received a briefing with the Festival Noise Consultant on how to log complaints, what data to record, and what action to take when a complaint is received.

The number is 07852 554 798

As soon as the call is ended, the onsite Festival Noise Consultant will be contacted and given details of the complaint. The Festival Noise Consultant will then investigate the complaint and take whatever remedial action is required. A record of any remedial action taken will be made. Remedial action will be taken where applicable. A record of the complaint and what, if any, remedial action was taken will then be provided to the licensing authority after the festival.

Lazydays Festival background

This year's event will take place on the last weekend of July, starting on Friday 25 July at 1700, and running through to Sunday 27 July, when the festival will close at 2000.

The event features great music acts, local up-and-coming musicians, and a celebration of independent drink producers, alongside crafters/makers, food trucks, demonstrations and tastings, as well as children’s entertainment and activities.

There will be 3 performance areas across the festival site. One will be an open-air stage, the second an enclosed canvas tent for emerging musical talent, and the third a demonstration venue.

There will be up to 10 bars and bar activations, and a wide selection of food outlets and roaming entertainment.

The Premises License

The licensed maximum capacity of the event is 4,999, however, we expect around 3,500 attendees within Priory Park at any one time.

The premises will be open, including for the sale & supply of alcohol and regulated entertainment, including dance, films, plays, live & recorded music, on:

  • Friday 25 July: 5pm to 11pm.

  • Saturday 26 July: 11am to 11pm

  • Sunday 27 July: 11am to 8pm

We will arrive at Priory Park on Tuesday 22 July to begin the festival build, departing at the end of Monday 28 July. On these days, our team will be building (then dismantling) the festival between the hours of 8am and 11pm.

Soundchecks may take place between 9am to 7pm on Thursday 24th July; 9am to 5pm on Friday 25th July; and 9am to 11am on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July.

We have commissioned a competent person to prepare a Noise Management Plan and this has been submitted to environmental health.

Part of the noise management plan includes the provision of a noise hotline, which will be manned for the duration of the festival. Details about this hotline will be circulated to residents shortly before the event.

Resident forum

We held a residents’ open forum on Wednesday 4 July, between 6pm and 7pm at the Priory Park Visitor Centre. Details of this event were included in a letter sent to local residents, distributed between 8-14 May (full list of roads at the bottom of the page).

Engagement with Council and licensing authorities

We have met with representatives from the Local Authority and are keeping them advised as to our plans. We have provided officers with a copy of an Event Management Plan, which includes, amongst other policies, the Noise Management Plan. We have also attended the council-run Safety Advisory Group (SAG) and will meet with the SAG for an event debrief.
